A giant Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrel tree will be on display at the Wharf through the end of December.
Capitals fans have an opportunity to buy a special bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey this holiday season. Washington Capitals alum and NBC Sports Washington studio analyst Alan May traveled to the Jack Daniels distillery in Tennessee to select the barrels used in the Capitals Single Barrel Personal Collection.
The limited-edition bottles will be available for purchase in December at stores in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.
Fans can also participate in special events at the Wharf in D.C. and purchase special Jack Daniels cocktails to benefit charity.
The famous Jack Daniels Barrel Tree will be on display at the Wharf on Market Pier through New Year’s Eve. Beginning on December 1, fans can bid on a barrel from the tree. The barrel will be signed by Jack Daniel's Master Distiller, Chris Fletcher, and delivered to the winner. Proceeds from the auction will go to Operation Ride Home, an organization that helps pay travel expenses for members of the military returning home.
Jack Daniel’s will also be hosting whiskey tastings during the District Holiday Boat Parade on December 4 and donating $1 to Operation Ride Home for drinks sold at bars and restaurants around the Wharf.
