Are you looking for something fun to do? The North Platte Public library has scheduled several Creation Station workshops for December. The first workshop is a great family-friendly activity and will be held in our meeting room. Workshops feature our equipment and people can participate without previous training. Each workshop has a fee to cover materials and requires pre-registration. Fees are paid the day of the workshop. Workshop Descriptions:
Triple Monogram Button Fun: Saturday, December 4th at 10 AM, 11 AM, and 12 PM
Have some winter fun with our one-inch button maker. Create a 3-button initial trio, with a choice of 3 letters on a themed background. These versa-back buttons will go on a key ring so you can use them as zipper pulls, for keys or lanyards. Select from 4 background /font combinations and provide the 3 letters for the buttons when registering. The cost of the workshop is $1.00 per person, and is limited to 6 people, age 5 and up. Children under 9 need to be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration ends 24 hours prior to the workshop time. If you can’t attend that day, we can schedule a time at a later date. Just indicate that in the notes, when registering.
Recipe Gift Bag Workshops: Thursday, December 9 and Thursday, December 16 at 6:00 PM
Participants will be able to select from a variety of hot beverage recipes images to print and heat press onto 2 cotton bags. They make great gifts for the holiday season! The workshop fee is $5.00 per person and limited to 4 people per workshop time. Ages 12 and up. The library WILL NOT be providing ingredients from the recipes.
Winter Apron Workshop: Tuesday, December 14 at 6:00 PM
Choose from a selection of seasonal or floral images to be heat pressed by staff onto an apron. The library has several colors of aprons available. Workshop fee is $8.00 and limited to 4 people, ages 12 and above.
