The Cleveland Browns fell to 6-6 on Sunday as they lost a rather boring 16-10 game to the Baltimore Ravens. For the second-straight week, the offense struggled to get going, especially Baker Mayfield, who is dealing with numerous injuries.

Thankfully, the Browns have a bye week coming up and according to Mayfield, it couldn't come at a better time for him and the rest of his team. Via Cleveland.com:

“For starters, everybody getting healthy,” Mayfield said. “Last year, you know, with no preseason games or anything with anew system, that was kind of a crucial point for us with everybody kinda doing self-scouting and realizing what we were good at, what we needed to focus on. So I imagine that’s going to be kinda the same mentality. Get better, focus on what we’re good at, continue to grow in those packages and fix our weaknesses.”

The Browns will be hoping they can go on a similar run from last season as well. After their bye week in 2020, Cleveland won six straight and marched into the playoffs with their heads held high.

Most importantly though, this extra week of recovery time is absolutely crucial for Mayfield. He looks frankly scared to throw the ball, completing just 18 of 37 passes on Sunday. Between the shoulder, knee, groin, and foot injuries, the Browns QB seriously needs to heal up if this team is going to have any shot at the postseason.

In Week 14, they'll also have a rematch with the Ravens. Hopefully, Cleveland can get it done this time around.
