New The Book of Boba Fett TV Spot Teases Sarlacc Pit Return

Fans have been looking forward to seeing The Book of Boba Fett, which will follow Boba Fett and Fennec Shand's adventure in the criminal underworld of Tatooine following the post-credits scene of the second season finale of The Mandalorian as well as a deep dive exploration on the iconic Star Wars bounty hunter.

Lucasfilm has recently released a new 30-second TV spot for The Book of Boba Fett titled "Message." It showed new footage from the series including a particular moment where it looks like Boba Fett is recovering from the fateful event in the Sarlacc Pit during the events of Return of the Jedi along with the narration, "I am Boba Fett, left for dead on the sands of Tatooine." You can view the TV spot here:

With that moment being teased in the TV spot, it poses a question: Does it mean that we will get a flashback on how Boba Fett survived the Sarlacc Pit? After all, we didn't get an explanation yet on how he ended up surviving the event as the next thing that we saw him (at least in the chronological way) is in the second season premiere episode of The Mandalorian where he made a brief appearance revealing that he is still alive and well.

There's a lot of anticipation for The Book of Boba Fett as it will be the first time that a Star Wars story will focus on the titular bounty hunter. The previously released trailers and TV spots indicate that it will be a very different Star Wars series from The Mandalorian as they are going to explore the criminal underworld of the galaxy far, far away.

Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen are starring in the series, reprising their roles from The Mandalorian. Robert Rodriguez, Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filoni, Steph Green, and Kevin Tancharoen are directing the episodes.
