Dying Light 2 Apparently Weighs 21 GB on the PS5 Without a Day-One Patch

Dying Light 2: Stay Human has undergone several delays, but if it’s any consolation, PlayStation 5 players can expect to download the game within no time as soon as it’s available to pre-load (provided you have a decent internet connection) because it apparently weighs a meager 21 GB.

That’s according to Twitter user PlayStation Game Size, who deploys a bot to pull data from Sony’s servers. The fine print: we don’t know if Dying Light 2 will have a day-one patch or not, and if it will (which is par for the course), how big the patch will be.

Nevertheless, thanks to the PS5’s compression tech, lauded by numerous developers, we don’t expect Dying Light 2 to balloon in size if it does get a day-one patch. PlayStation Game Size also revealed that Dying Light 2 will be available to pre-load on February 2, 2022, two days ahead of the game’s global launch on February 4th.

We’ve extensively covered Dying Light 2 this year, and published a hands-on preview for our readers recently. Make sure to check out our previous coverage for more information.

A synopsis provided by Techland reads:
