Brad Marchand has once again found himself in hot water with the league. The NHL Department of Player Safety announced on Monday that the Bruins star will have a hearing for slew-footing Canucks defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson during Boston's 3-2 win Sunday night.

Marchand was not penalized for the play during the game, one in which he dominated and led the Bruins to a comeback win with a goal and an assist in the third period.

Based on what Player Safety announces on Twitter and how they word it, an educated guess is that Marchand will end up with a short suspension.

Notably, Marchand was not offered an in-person hearing, meaning any suspension would not be longer than five games. However, Player Safety typically doesn't announce hearings if it only intends to fine a player.

Last week, San Jose's Kevin Labanc was suspended one game for a similar-looking slew-foot against St. Louis.

Marchand also has a lengthy history of supplemental discipline that won't help him, including a two-game suspension for slew-footing Derick Brassard in 2015 and a $2,500 fine for slew-footing Matt Niskanen in 2011.

In total, Marchand has been suspended six times for a total of 19 games in his career and fined another five times. His last suspension came in January 2018 for an elbow to the head of future teammate Marcus Johansson. Here is a look at his suspension history:

-March 17, 2011: 2 games for elbowing R.J. Umberger
-Jan. 9, 2012: 5 games for low-bridging Sami Salo
-Jan. 15, 2015: 2 games for slew-footing Derick Brassard
-Dec. 29, 2015: 3 games for clipping Mark Borowiecki
-April 5, 2017: 2 games for spearing Jake Dotchin
-Jan. 23, 2018: 5 games for elbowing Marcus Johansson
