Two Fairfield 16-year-olds accused of murdering a Spanish teacher at their high school have both pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges.
Nohema Graber, 66 of Fairfield, was reported missing November 3 before she was found dead later in the day at Chautauqua Park.
Jeremy Goodale and Willard Miller were charged in her death and were both scheduled to be in court Monday but both opted to file a written plea of not guilty instead.
Both suspects also asked Judge Joel Yates to lower their $1 million last week. Yates said he will likely issue a ruling on that this week.
Defense attorneys for both teens argued they are not flight risks but prosecutors asked for the bond to be raised to $2 million.
Jury trials are scheduled for April 19, 2022 for both suspects.
