A few Alabama reserves entered the NCAA transfer portal Monday morning as the Crimson Tide begins preparation for the SEC Championship.
Former five-star offensive lineman Pierce Quick and linebacker Jackson Bratton joined receiver Xavier Williams and defensive back Marcus Banks in the portal Monday, multiple outlets reported.
Quick, a Hewitt-Trussville graduate, was a 2019 signee and an early commit when he pledged to the Tide on April 22, 2017. He rose as high as the No. 23 in the overall 2019 rankings in the 247Sports composite before arriving as the No. 40 prospect in the class.
In three seasons, Quick appeared in eight games as a reserve including just one this fall. He played three snaps against Miami in the opener and had not been listed on the two-deep depth chart for Saturday’s game at Auburn.
Bratton has not appeared in a game in his two seasons with the Crimson Tide. The Muscle Shoals High product committed in 2018 and was a 4-star recruit ranked 155th in the Class of 2020.
Banks and Williams entered the transfer portal earlier in December.
