Man Enters Barn To Find 'Terrifying Amount' of Owls Staring at Him: 'Creepy'

A short clip depicting seven seemingly startled owls holed up in a barn has divided Reddit, with some viewers dubbing the bird's intense reaction as "creepy" as opposed to the original poster's "cute" description.

The nine-second-long footage captured and uploaded to Reddit shows seven owls staring intently at the camera while snuggly perched together on an indoor beam.

The clip, which has been upvoted more than 60,000 times on the site in less than a day, details from extraordinarily close range the birds' wide-eyed reaction to being filmed.

The uploader BoleslawSpindleshank, who Newsweek has contacted for an update, titled their video: "Found these cute owls in my barn."

But some viewers appeared to disagree with this description, with several of the more than 1,400 comments opining they found the footage a little frightening.

Reddit user Missmaggy2u wrote: "I thought it was creepy when they didn't blink. I realize it's creepier when they do."

MountainOne3769 appeared to agree, writing: "Sorry, but I find some of 'em a little creepy."

And seemingly referencing the horror film series, MountainOne3769 quipped: "Jeepers. Creepers. Where'd you get those peepers?"

Users on the Aww forum, which has 29.7 million members and is dedicated to cute animal content, also joked about the odd owl incident.

Dschuncks wrote: "Interrupted a session of parliament," while Complete_manic commented: "At this point, I think it's their barn."

And BobbyThrowaway6969 added: "Camera shutter sounds*"

Usually, animal footage is perpetually popular on the social media site.

Footage of an elderly dog learning a new method for climbing into bed went viral on Reddit late last week.

The short clip, which had been upvoted tens of thousands of times, was endearingly captioned: "My mom's 16-year-old dog (Weeble) cannot jump on/off her bed anymore, so I'm teaching her to use these new stairs."

Another adorable video posted on Reddit last week witnessed a dog using its buddy as a "booty pillow." The footage shows golden retriever Milo approaching his look-alike four-legged friend Oakley and resting his head on his butt.

Tender footage surfaced early this month depicting a cat and its canine friend enjoying an extremely cute cuddle together.

The ginger kitty is seen rising from one side of a couch and attempting to snuggle up to a sleeping dog resting at the other end.

And such special relationships enjoyed by some cats and dogs has been chronicled in another viral video clip, with a dog in one being filmed clumsily sitting on top of her owner's cat and the feline's amusing reaction prompting much hilarity online.
