Oddworld: Soulstorm Out Now For Xbox One

Set hours following the events of 2014’s Oddworld: New ‘n Tasty!Oddworld: Soulstorm once again puts you in the shoes of Abe, the former janitor of RuptureFarms. Out today for the Xbox One and Xbox One X|S. This 2.5D side-scrolling platform game features revised gameplay from both Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus and Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee. Play each level how you want as there as some rumors that depending on the amount of Quarma you get in each level depends on the ending you get via newspaper headlines.

The game includes a new loot and craft system to really save the world with any weapon you see fit. Back to Quarma’s, they are this version’s karma such as in other games, Fallout 3 and Dishonored making every encounter worth a second to really make sure you want to kill or help them out of the factory.

Such as in real life there are evil people who are planning to do things that no human should want to do because it is morally wrong but hey it makes money so who cares. Abe finds out about the plans and is putting his life on the life to save the ones he works with. Trying my best not to spoil things for the ones who have not played the original so excuse the vagueness.

Developed and Published by Oddworld Inhabitants, this is a pretty big franchise so be sure to look into the other games in the series if this one tickles your fancy. If you want to play this game but do not have an Xbox One or Xbox One X|S, do not worry as it has already been out for the PlayStation 4 and 5, along with PC as well. It’s $40 for the other consoles so you can pretty much guess that it will be $40 as well for the Xbox.

John Alford: Hey, I am John Alford and I like video games. Video games are an escape from reality's grasp on an decaying earth. Video games let you get away with crimes and actions you should never dream of doing in real life. If I am not playing video games, I am watching LSU, Saints, and cheering for #18 Kyle Busch in NASCAR.
