Sharon Corr is Feeling Blue: Irish singer, songwriter and member of the Corrs Sharon Corr told us about her love for a Joni Mitchell classic.

Sharon Corr: Beyond all albums this is the one I return to always or just play on repeat to eternity.

Joni – the music maker, the truth teller has been my inspiration always.

Here’s what she and her beauty Blue inspire in me.

Star flaked crystal mountains that flow with spring as rivulets into streams becoming rivers of dreams, stretching the seas and forming the oceans wide.

An album for all eternity, to learn from, to mourn and to celebrate, uniting all human kind – after all “we are stardust.”

What no one dared to say she laid bare from her heart and beautiful soul. Unhinging the perception of womanhood – sexuality – desire – hope and despair in Blue.

Through this flowing personal history – she frees us all.  Validating all emotion, giving license to what was once unsaid .

“Song are like tattoos” and we all of us have them in our DNA, upon our skin – life’s battles won.

Thank you Joni. Oh “I would drink a case of you.”

Sharon Corr is Feeling Blue: Sharon Corr’s The Fool & the Scorpion album is out now.

Sharon Corr said of her new album in a press release: “It is my intention that you enjoy listening to the fruits of The Fool and The Scorpion as an entire album. As Albert Camus said: ‘In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.’”

“Alongside her siblings, Sharon was awarded an MBE in recognition of The Corrs’ musical success and charitable work. The band also secured two GRAMMY nominations and won countless other awards, including Best International Group at the BRIT Awards. In 2019 Sharon was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Open University in recognition of her contribution to education and culture.”
