A woman was arrested in Manitowoc last week after she attempted to steal a $220 jacket from Fleet Farm.
Officers were called to the store on South Rapids Road just before 11:30 AM last Wednesday (November 24th) on a reported theft in progress.
Officers arrived and watched the 35-year-old female suspect attempt to exit the store with a $220 jacket in a large purse.
She immediately returned into the store when she saw the officers and ditched the jacket under a clothing rack.
Officers located the woman in the rear of the store and arrested her.
It was also learned that the woman was a suspect in a previous theft from the same store.
In that case, the woman had stolen two impact wrench kits, valued at around $860.
She was also a suspect in a theft from the Fleet Farm in Plymouth.
The woman has been charged with two counts of Retail Theft, one felony, one misdemeanor.
