For months — and months, and months — Marvel fans have speculated that the conclusion of the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy, Spider-Man: No Way Home, will break the “Spider-Verse” wide open with the return of former “Spider-Men” Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield alongside the trilogy’s star, Tom Holland.

Although Holland and Garfield, in particular, have denied both stars’ involvement in the project, the reports persist — and some eagle-eyed fans even think an editing error in the second No Way Home trailer proves the duo will make cameos.

Now, Sony Pictures has reportedly forced the removal of a new purportedly “leaked” image that showcases Garfield in a No Way Home scene.

Although Garfield has — true to form — said the video was “Photoshopped” and that he is “done” with the Spider-Man franchise as a whole, the fact that Sony reportedly got involved with the removal of this specific image has convinced many fans that it is, in fact, an actual leak.

For the most part, both Sony and Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios have let “leaked” No Way Home images slide, including one previous Garfield video that the creator ultimately admitted he “made during lunch.”

The debunked leaks have been rampant, but the latest situation is certainly the most intriguing, given that Sony actually stepped in to force the removal of the photographs. As one article noted:

However, another image involving Garfield has been revealed online. This time, it shows The Amazing Spider-Man actor alongside Maguire and Holland in full Spider-Man gear. Given that Sony took the images down, many believe that it was, in fact, real.
