After a triple overtime loss to the Sacramento Kings, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers bounced back to beat the Detroit Pistons, 110-106. The Lakers Big 3 all had strong performances, with James leading the way with 33 points, five rebounds, and nine assists. Anthony Davis added in 24 points, 10 boards and three blocks, while guard Russell Westbrook had 25 points, six rebounds, and nine assists as well. Former NBA player and current analyst Kendrick Perkins had some thoughts on the team's performance, and LeBron had a response:

The King agrees with Perkins, but doesn't necessarily seem too worried on the team's success moving forward.

However, while James, Davis, and Westbrook all were in sync and had strong individual performances, this certainly hasn't been the case for most of the regular season so far for the Lakers. The King had missed a part of the season due to an abdominal injury, and also recently returned from a one-game suspension he had regarding a situation with Isaiah Stewart. Davis has struggled to be a true leader in the absence of LeBron, and Westbrook himself hasn't been the most beneficial player for the Lakers lineup. His style of play doesn't seem to correlate well with the rest of Los Angeles.

The Lakers currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference with a record of 11-11, underachieving to the expectations that were set by many around the league. Yet Los Angeles hopes that this victory against the Pistons could lead to the team starting to play well together as a whole. With LeBron healthy and motivated, no one can ever count out the Lakers to make a big push.
