Having witnessed a tense exchange between Zeedan and Hashim, suspicious Ryan wants to know what's going on. Zeedan tries to play it down, but is thrown into panic when he opens up the back of his van to discover Hashim's dosh has vanished.

Later, Ryan shows up at No 6 with the bag of cash and forces Zeedan to admit he has been laundering money for his former father-in-law. As Zeedan refuses to go to the police, Ryan feels he has no other option but to let Alya know what her little brother has been up to. Enraged, she rails at Zeedan over the illegal operation and accuses him of destroying everything their family has worked so hard for.

Consumed with guilt, Zeedan joins forces with Ryan and try and figure out a way to get rid of the money and get Hashim off his case. However, things go from bad to worse when Elaine calls Alya to say she wants to sell her share in the business.

Needing the funds to buy her out, Zeedan hatches a plan and secures a pitch for the food van at the Christmas market. But then disaster strikes when he discovers the vehicle has been stolen, with the stash of dirty cash still inside.

As news of the theft reaches Hashim, he demands his money back and tells Zeedan if the only way is to burn down Speed Daal and claim on the insurance, then so be it.

Sickened, Zeedan refuses, but then Hashim ups the ante by threatening to torch Yasmeen's house instead. Soon Speed Daal is ablaze, and Zeedan is horrified to realise someone is trapped inside the burning building.

Devastated, Aaron's grief comes flooding out, and seeing her sibling in such distress only heightens Liv's guilt.
