Country musician Merle Haggard’s legacy lives on at the Civic Center this winter.
Haggard’s sons, Ben and Noel, perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29. The duo will perform hit songs from Merle Haggard’s extensive discography.
Merle Haggard recorded 70 albums during his 50-year career, including hits like “Today I Started Loving You Again,” “Pancho and Lefty,” and “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink.”
He also had six children from five marriages -- five of whom launched musical careers. Younger son Ben Haggard was the lead guitarist in The Strangers, Merle’s backing band, for eight years, and performed since age 15.
Noel Haggard released his first country album, “One Lifetime,” in 1997.
