Samsung Internet Browser Gets Some Interesting New Features

Samsung Internet Browser is one of the best, if not the best, internet browsers for Android devices. Though there are a few missing key features, the browser is overall pretty competent.

The good thing about it is that with every new update, Samsung Internet Browser is getting better. Earlier this month, Samsung was spotted testing a couple of new features for its browser with the beta update.

However, there was no said timeline on when the Samsung Internet Browser would receive it. Finally today, Samsung is now rolling out an update that brings some of the requested features to its browser.

With the new update, Samsung is adding the ability to move the URL bar at the bottom of the screen. The UI, though strongly, resembles the Safari browser in iOS 15.

Smartphones these days are getting bigger and bigger. Moving the URL to the bottom allows Samsung Internet Browser users to access and maneuver the app more easily.

In the Settings menu, under the Layout and menu option of Samsung Browser, users will find the option to move the URL bar to the bottom of the interface.

Well, that’s not it. This latest Samsung Browser update also adds a few other important features. These features are meant to improve the usability or security of the browser.

According to the official changelog (via Phone Arena), the update adds the Smart Anti-Tracking feature. It will allow users to block tracking by using small pixel images.

Moreover, the URL bar now gets smarter. It will provide search suggestions while a user enters search keywords into the URL bar. This is also useful as you may find the exact keyword you are looking for without the need to type the whole thing.

Samsung is pushing all these new features via an update that is live to download from the Google Play Store. This also means other brand mobile phone users can also enjoy these features by downloading the Samsung Browser app on their devices.
