Tara Mosley's daughter, Angelle, was only 33 years old when she died from complications of COVID-19on July 25.Fully vaccinated at the time, the fashionista had opened the boutique of her dreams only one month before her passing. Months later, and her family and friends are making sure that dream stays alive. "To have her models that were there for her from the beginning, friends that were with her to decorate her boutique and to get it together, to know they are still here to keep it going, I know she is happy and smiling," Tara said.Brave Beautique is still open and being operated by Angelle's mom and some of Mosley's best friends. They're helping with everything from inventory to sales, along with modeling and promoting some of Angelle's most prized pieces. "We know this is Angelle's baby. We know this is something she really wanted. She dreamt about this all day every day. Fashion was her thing," said Brisha Lott, Angelle's friend. Trichelle Barra, also a friend of Angelle, said "Coping with her loss, being here and seeing her legacy still going, it makes me feel good every day." "It's been hard but we just keep going," added Ashley Lucien.In the spirit of giving thanks, their hope is for support from the community. "We only ask that everyone else help us. By buying, supporting and letting people know about Angelle's store," Lott said.This is the first holiday season Tara will spend without her daughter, She said laboring in love makes her feel closer to Angelle. Tara said the holidays are not something that should ever be taken for granted. She had a message for families. "I just ask family at this time of the year ... and do not just use Thanksgiving because every day should be a day of thanksgiving, but every day, embrace your loved ones. We all have an expiration date. We just do not know when."The family is urging everyone to get vaccinated this holiday season.
