Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes lashed out at a steward during the Jadon Sancho goal celebrations at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening.

Sancho pounced on a poor first touch from Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, ran through on goal and slotted the ball cooly past Edouard Mendy to score his second goal in as many games.

You could see the goal meant a lot to him, with Sancho running over to the Man United fans to celebrate with them. He was joined by his teammates, those on the field and the substitutes warming up on the touchline.

One player who was in the midst of it all was Bruno Fernandes, who was captaining Man United on the day in the absence of Harry Maguire. However, Fernandes did not conduct himself in the manner you’d expect from a skipper.

35 seconds into the clip below you can see Fernandes lashing out at a steward who was attempting to get himself between the celebrating Man United players and the travelling supporters.

Ultimately, the stewards are there to ensure the safety of the fans and players. There was absolutely no need for Fernandes to react in that manner. It’s rather shameful behaviour.
