Earlier this summer, T-Pain delivered a passionate rant about up-and-coming artists and how he feels that there is no longer any “original shit” in the industry. It comes as no surprise that T-Pain has shared more of his opinion on young stars in the industry and how their current work ethic differs from his generation of hip-hop artists.

In a recent Tweet, T-Pain expressed how he really felt about the younger artists looking for “momentary popularity” rather than believing in longevity. He calls it “super disturbing” and urges fans “to think about the future and generational wealth. The veteran hip-hop artist wrote, “It’s bigger than right now. You got a lot of lives in your hands and a generation to start.”

While he did not name specific names, T-Pain has recently been known to give advice to newer artists coming up in the industry. Back in July, he said on his Twitch rant, “You’re making it because you’re in the studio like, ‘What’s the number one record now? We need to make another one of those.’ Stop doing that! Stop! You’re not original! Give me some original shit!” Though he did clarify that there are some who are capable of creating long-lasting and good music, he doubled down on wanting young artists to take greater risks and step outside their comfort zones.

Take a look at his full Tweet below.

In other music news, DJ Khaled and Sech have linked up on new visuals for their latest track “Borracho.”
