The Boston Celtics’ 2021-22 season so far is doing better than the first several games of the season might have suggested, but also not quite as well as the spate of wins the team went on after its 2-5 start. Now, back at .500 after a pair of losses to the Brooklyn Nets and the San Antonio Spurs, questions about what sort of team this really is have returned.

What can we point to that will give us an idea of what kind of squad this iteration of the Celtics is? What are the team’s strengths and weaknesses? And what is simply still too early for us to actually have a handle on just yet?

Evan Valenti, co-host of the CLNS Media podcast “Celtics Beat” dived into these questions with guest Alexandra Francisco of NESN, and the two talked turkey on the status quo of a certain Boston-based basketball squad ahead of a critical juncture in their schedule.
