One of three people injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in Orange has died, authorities said.

The crash occurred at 7:33 p.m. at Chapman Avenue and Earlham Street.

Witness told officers that they saw a Nissan 370Z going west on Chapman when an eastbound Nissan Altima attempted to make a left turn onto Earlham, Olivera said.

The 370Z’s driver, a 19-year-old Anaheim man, applied his brakes and steered to the right but couldn’t avoid hitting the Altima, Olivera said.

The Altima was driven by a 17-year-old girl with an 18-year-old woman in the passenger seat; both lived in Santa Ana. It was unclear which one of the two died.

The 370Z driver suffered minor injuries, while it was unclear the condition of the other person in the Altima.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, Olivera said. No arrests had been made and all three were wearing seat belts, he said.
