Police arrest Kansas felon after reported carjacking

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a car jacking and have made an arrest

Just after 4:30p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a call for service in the 800 Block SE 33rd in Topeka after the caller reported a suspect had forced them from their vehicle and fled in it, according to Police Lt. Jerry Monasmith.

Officers quickly developed information on the suspect's location and, took 47-year-old Don Jackson into custody. Police transported him to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections where he is being held on requested charges Aggravated Robbery, Felony Theft and Battery according to Monasmith.
