THIS IS THE HEOM GRINNELL POLICE ARRIVED TO JUST BEFORE 8 IN THE MORNING SURDAYAT FOR AN INCIDTEN POLICE DESCRIBE AS OUT OF THE RMNO THE CALLER WHO ENDED UP BEING THE SUSPECT IN THIS CASE INDICATED THAT HE HAD STABBED ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER WITHIN THE HOME. WE’RE SUSPECT THAT 13 YEAR OLD BOY WAS TAKEN OUT OF THE HOUSE WITHOUT ANY TROLEUB RIGHT AFTER POLICE SAY THEY FOUND THE 43 YEAR OLD MAN WHO WAS STABBED IN THE STOMACH HE IS GOING TO BE ABLE TO RECOVER FROM HIS INJURIES, AND HE PROBABLY IS GOING TO BE RELEASED FROM THE HOSPIT SALHORTLY. POLICE. SAY THE 13 PENSION CENTER WHERE HE’LL WAIT FOR HIS INITIAL COURT. Grinnell police say the stabbing happened early Saturday morning, leaving a 43-year-old man injured with a stab wound to the abdomen.

A 13-year-old boy is facing an attempted murder charge following a stabbing on Saturday morning in Grinnell. Police officers received a call just before 8 a.m., leading them to respond to a home on Melrose Lane. A 43-year-old man was found inside the home injured by a stab wound to the abdomen. The man was taken to Unity Point Grinnell Regional Medical Center, where he's expected to recover. "The caller, who ended up being the suspect in this case, indicated that he had stabbed another family member in the home," said Sgt. Christopher Wray. Grinnell police arrested the 13-year-old, who is at a juvenile detention center awaiting his initial court appearance. Police are still investigating the incident. If anyone knows anything, police are asking them to reach out to Sgt. Wray, who is the interim police captain, or Sgt. Dan Johnson at (641) 236-2670. "All indications today are that this was an unprovoked attack," Sgt. Wray said. "It's just an unfortunate incident that happened."
