Joe Buck took the opportunity to troll Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for his toe situation and his COVID-19 vaccine situation simultaneously.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been the center of controversy, the topic of headlines, and the target of jokes in recent weeks. His controversial COVID-19 vaccine saga and the odd toe injury he’s attempting to work through have managed to grab everyone’s attention this season.

So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that both of those elements would be brought up at some point or another in Green Bay’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Prior to the start of the contest with the Rams, Rodgers apparently received some sort of “painkilling injection” that is preventing him from feeling pain (or anything) in that troublesome toe. This information was relayed to viewers during the game between the Rams and Packers.

And of course, Buck was ready with some snark to address the situation at hand.

“So Aaron is telling us that he’s had that toe immunized against the pain,” Buck remarked.

There’s no way this is the last time folks will take a shot at Rodgers’ reluctance to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, so expect some more jokes about the situation, along with commentary on his odd toe injury, in the future.

Buck was seemingly prepared, poised, and appeared ready to go with that remark of his. Who knows if he’d rehearsed it or if that actually happened to be off the cuff and improvised, but it was pretty laden with snark and Buck got a lot of folks’ attention with the comment.
