The Carolina Panthers suffered an embarrassing loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 12, 33-10. Cam Newton played horrible for the Panthers as he went 5-of-21 for only 92 yards and two interceptions.

After the game, the Panthers quarterback had this to say (via Panthers reporter Jonathan Alexander):

“Nothing that they did was out of the ordinary. It just comes down to execution.”

There was clearly something that the Dolphins were doing that made Newton and the Panthers' offense play this bad. Going 5-of-21 is not something that is seen very often in the NFL as this was probably the worst passing game of the season for any team.

This is a disappointing loss for the Panthers as it was one that they definitely could have won. They were inching closer to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South but with this loss, they fall to 5-7 on the season and are now in last place of the division.

If the Panthers want to find any sort of success in the near future, they're going to need to address their offensive issues as the Dolphins locked them up.

They will look to bounce back after their bye week as they take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14. This is a very winnable game for the Panthers and if they want to try to sneak into the playoffs, they're going to have to win from here on out. Expect them to come out ready to go against the Falcons.
