Despite the New England Patriots' dominant win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 12, Bill Belichick admits they still have a lot of things to improve. That doesn't mean he is not happy with the result. However, Belichick knows they have to be near perfect if they want to compete in the playoffs and contend for the Super Bowl.

The Patriots obliterated the Titans, 36-13, in a one-sided affair that saw Tennessee fail to even score a point in the second half. Mac Jones was solid once again with two passing touchdowns on 23-of-32 pass completion rate for 310 yards. Aside from Jones, Damien Harris had one rushing TD, while kicker Nick Folk recorded 18 points.

“Good all-around effort, left some plays out there, certainly some things we can do better, but we’ll take it,” Belichick said of their huge win, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.

New England generally did a good job limiting Titans QB Ryan Tannehill to just 93 yards on 11-of-21 pass completion. The Patriots also intercepted him one as they never gave the Tennessee offense any opportunity to get things rolling.

However, as Bill Belichick said it, there were some chances they could have taken advantage of. One of which is Mac Jones' missed touchdown pass to Hunter Henry in the second quarter off a Titans turnover. Henry was wide open near the end zone but Jones failed to connect with him.

After the contest, Jones took responsibility for the missed TD, noting he didn't make the right pass.

“The Hunter play, I just didn't throw the right pass…I wish I had that back,” Jones said, per Alex Barth of 985 The Sports Hub.

The Patriots can only learn from their mistakes. Fortunately for them, they have a coach in Belichick who always demands for perfection–something they really need come playoff time.
