Quarterback Tyrod Taylor did not protect the football as he had an interception. The Texans were only able to even the turnover battle 1-1, as they failed to corral a loose ball on a Zach Wilson sack. The Texans also finished with 202 yard total offense and lost the time of possession 26:18 to 33:42. Houston also went 1-2 in the red zone with Taylor’s key interception happening in the red zone.

On a fourth-and-8 from the Houston 16-yard line with 8:26 in the third quarter, the Jets kicked a 34-yard filed goal. DT Ross Blacklock committed leveraging, which resulted in an automatic first down. Instead of tying the game 14-14, the Jets continued the drive and capped it off with QB Zach Wilson scoring a 4-yard touchdown. It was starting to settle in that it was “happening again” to the Texans.
