NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A woman is arrested after being removed from an incoming flight to Nashville.
Spirit Airlines notified Metro Nashville police at 7 p.m. Saturday of a disruptive passenger before landing.
The airline said in a statement to FOX 17 News that the passenger was removed off of flight NK222 after arriving in Nashville from Fort Lauderdale for unruly behavior.
The flight crew advised police that Amanda Henry punched a flight attendant and pulled another flight attendant's hair. As a result, a passenger placed plastic flex cuffs around her feet in order to restrain her.
The flex cuffs were removed when they landed and Henry was asked to walk off the plane. Police say she smelled of alcohol and could not stand without assistance.
According to the affidavit, police asked Henry how much she had to drink. She reportedly responded with, "a lot."
Henry then reportedly exclaimed, "What the f*** did I do wrong? I'm not drunk."
Police told Henry they were arresting her for public intoxication and placed her in double locked handcuffs.
When being placed in the patrol car, Henry stiffened her legs to prevent the door from being closed, and reportedly yelled several times, "Shoot me, mother f*****."
While police say the flight crew did not wish to press charges for the simple assault, the airline says otherwise.
Spirit Airlines said in their statement that they will work with authorities to ensure she is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Henry has also been banned from ever flying on any of their flights, as they do not tolerate aggressive behavior of any kind.
The airlines went on to thank their passengers who assisted the crew and police with the matter.
Henry made bond Sunday morning.
