2 suspects arrested after NY trooper hit by car on RFK Bridge: police
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A New York trooper was hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle on the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge Sunday afternoon.
State Police said a trooper was struck by a car on the Queens side of the bridge before 1:00 p.m.
Authorities said the trooper suffered a minor leg injury and was transported to Elmhurst Hospital. Officials said police fired back at the car after the incident.
The NYPD said two suspects were taken into custody.
The NYPD said the northbound right on the bridge is open, but delays are expected in the area.
