The comments come while she is on tour with Playboi Carti as the opening act for his King Vamp Tour. She has experienced aggressive acts from Carti fans eager to see him take the stage. Most recently, there was footage of a concertgoer throwing a bottle at Rico on stage in Portland, Oregon. The viral clip caused fans and even a few of her peers to offer support. This Portland incident is identical to the tour stop in L.A., where multiple fans booed her as they anticipated Carti hitting the stage. Later that night, she went back and forth with Carti fans on social media.

These unfortunate circumstances on tour may be the cause for why Rico is having a difficult time, emotionally.

“I dead ass need at least two hours out of each day, just to cry,” she also tweeted.  “Crazy how I wanted a tour bus my whole life and now I just be on the tour bus crying myself to sleep every night.”

Some artists rushed to support her on social media. Kehlani shared her support on social media, tweeting, "Rico is a gem of an artist and person, I hope you know how epic and special you are.”

On Saturday night (Nov. 27), Rico took the stage for the St. Louis tour date.

“STL showed Rico Nasty good love last night,” one concertgoer tweeted.
