The New York Giants are a dumpster fire for many reasons. One of those reasons is the embarrassing lack of usage of big-time free agent signing Kenny Golladay. The former Pro Bowl wide receiver signed a four-year, $72 million contract only to record 20 catches and zero touchdowns through seven games.

The lack of production isn't totally on Golladay, as the Giants' offensice execution and planning has been abysmal this season. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett lost his job because of it on Tuesday. It has been clear for a little while now that the Giants need to get Golladay more involved, especially with other receivers and running back Saquon Barkley dealing with injuries.

NFL Network's Kim Jones reported that, on the flight home after last week's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head coach Joe Judge promised Golladay that he would get more targets.

Getting Golladay targets won't be easy against the Philadelphia Eagles, who boast shutdown cornerback Darius Slay. It'll be extra important, though, with Golladay and tight end Evan Engram being the only key receiving threats active for today's game.

The efforts to get Golladay the ball did not work on New York's first drive, as he dropped a pass and failed to beat Slay's coverage in the end zone. But looking his way for a score is a start. Monitoring Golladay's activity today and moving forward will show how the Giants are looking to improve the offense after Garrett's departure.
