ANN ARBOR, MI — Saturday’s home finale against rival Ohio State saw a lot of records broken. An eight-game losing streak to the Buckeyes. Done. Twenty-nine straight wins by the Buckeyes over Big Ten teams. No more.

The game also marked the season-high in ejections from Michigan Stadium.

There were 24 fans ejected from the University of Michigan’s home victory against Ohio State on Nov. 27. There was also one arrest for disorderly conduct, said Deputy Chief Melissa Overton of the UM Division of Public Safety and Security.

Of the 24 ejections, 10 were for alcohol, eight were for violations of stadium rules, five were for disorderly conduct and one was for assault, police said.

The ejections surpassed what was reported during the season’s previous high against Indiana on Nov. 6. That Indiana game alone almost surpassed the 21 ejections combined between all the previous home games this fall.

In addition, there were 58 patients treated for first aid, police said. Of those, 36 were related to alcohol. There were also 15 people transported to the emergency room, including seven for alcohol-related reasons, police said.

There were 111,156 people in attendance on Saturday night as the fifth-ranked Wolverines upset the second-ranked Buckeyes in a 42-27 victory. It was the first victory over OSU since 2011, and clinched UM’s first-ever berth in the Big Ten Championship game since its inception in 2011.
