(ORIGINAL STORY) -- Zion National Park closed a popular trail Sunday morning due to a search and rescue, park officials said.
According to the park's current conditions site, the Middle and Upper Emerald Pools trail is closed for the search.
"We will advise when it reopens," the site states.
Authorities did not specify details about the search and rescue. However, Jonathan Shafer, public affairs specialist for the National Park Service did note an NPS helicopter was being used for the operation as well as a technical search and rescue team.
The park's website warns about dangers on the trail.
"Make sure to watch your kids," according to the Upper Emerald Pools page. "On your way towards the Middle and Upper Pools you will encounter more drop-offs and steep cliffs."
