Small Business Saturday 2021 kicks off in Colorado Springs

It will be a very cold morning for your Sunday as we deal with the backside of a cold front that moved through our area Friday night. Morning temperatures will be in the 30s for lower elevations and 20s for higher elevations with freezing fog. We work on a warm up for Sunday until another front comes through on Monday. Storm Team Meteorologist Megan Montero has more.

Winds subsiding overnight under clear to partly cloudy skies. Some frost is possible. Lows will bottom out in the 20s, 30s and 40s. Partly cloudy and cooler Saturday with scattered rain and snow showers in the higher elevations. Highs will top out in the 60s for most areas.

Fronts move through the area into next week.

Isolated showers across the eastern counties tonight, with otherwise fair skies giving way to some low clouds early Friday. Lows will bottom out in the 20s, 30s and 40s. Early low clouds will give way to partly to mostly sunny skies and a chance for an isolated strong to severe storm across the far eastern plains. Highs will warm into the 70s in most areas.

Yo-yo temperature trends continue as fronts keep moving across eastern Colorado.

FOX21 Storm Team latest forecast - Wednesday May 1st. Unsettled weather for portions of the viewing area heading into Thursday. Otherwise temperatures will be rather mild for this time of year.

Several waves moving to the north send occasional cold fronts through the eastern plains.

We are beginning a period of waves of inclement weather. For the I-25 corridor it won't be noticeable as we just see clouds building and temperatures in the 70s and 80s. However, there is the risk of a severe thunderstorm on the plains for Wednesday. Meteorologist Megan Montero explains.

We work on increasing our temperatures over the next 24 hours with highs in the mid 70s and low 80s for Tuesday. This will be the last day of calm conditions before a storm system approaches our area and brings winds and storms with it for Wednesday and Thursday. Meteorologist Megan Montero has the forecast.
