Steelers vs. Bengals: 3 reasons why things will be different this time around

The Cincinnati Bengals will be on the hunt for their first sweep of the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2009, but a win is going to be even harder to come by than it was in Week 3.

Here’s why Steelers-Bengals will be different this time around:

A spate of groin injuries plagued the Steelers locker room forcing Pittsburgh to play without both T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith. The team was on a 75-game sack streak that was snapped in large part because these stars were sidelined.

We’re deeper into the season now and Ben Roethlisberger is becoming more comfortable with Matt Canada’s system. The offense is playing better together and Roethlisberger has played five weeks of interception-free football. When these two teams met in September, he threw two interceptions that turned into 14 points for the Bengals.

Roethlisberger will also have his favorite target Diontae Johnson in the game. Johnson, who was dealing with a knee injury in Week 3, averages 70 yards per game versus Cincinnati and has three touchdowns scored.
