The Philadelphia Eagles have often been tied to the big-name quarterbacks being floated around in trade rumors. From Deshaun Watson to Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, Philly has been a potential destination for all three.
But with incumbent Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts playing well of late, the franchise may very well hold off on using their assets to replace their present signal-caller. That's according to the latest report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Sources explained this week what it would mean: The Eagles wouldn't need to go after a big-name, big-time QB, spending valuable draft capital to do it. They wouldn't need Deshaun Watson or Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers or any other passer whose name was bandied about in trade rumors last offseason. Their search would be over.
The Eagles have won three of their last four games, with Hurts showcasing his wares as both a run and pass threat. He's thrown five passing touchdowns to just one interception in the last five, while rushing for at least 50 yards in each of those contests. Hurts even rumbled for three TDs on the ground in their Week 11 win over the New Orleans Saints.
With a relatively tame schedule to close the season, the Eagles look like a potential playoff team when the dust settles. There's a lot of football left to be played – and Jalen Hurts will have every opportunity to prove he deserves to be the man in Philadelphia.
