The Minnesota Timberwolves (10-10) bounced back from a 20-point loss to the Charlotte Hornets with a clutch win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. The Timberwolves, led by D'Angelo Russell, won by a single point after two overtime periods, 121-120. After the game, however, there was no love lost between Russell and the Sixers.

When it was all said and done, Russell was brought in for an interview on the court and delivered a little jab at Joel Embiid and the Sixers:

He was, of course, referring to Embiid and Tobias Harris. Embiid tested positive for COVID-19 a few weeks ago and was inactive for the last nine games before Saturday, while Harris had missed the last two games because of a hip issue. Russell was clearly implying that they came back to this game expecting an easy win, but he and the Timberwolves had other ideas.

Russell led the team with 35 points and eight assists, connecting on six 3-pointers on 10 attempts. 27 of these points came in the fourth quarter and overtime, which further proves how clutch Russell really is. This was also a statement win for this Timberwolves team that has been playing much better basketball of late.

The Sixers were clearly stunned by the 35-20 opening quarter. They did climb back into the game, mostly due to Embiid's 42-point effort, but the Timberwolves seemed destined to win this game. Both teams now currently have the same record.
