That’s a unique honor. Wrestlers have a weird celebrity status as they are indeed television stars, but there is a pretty firm limit to what that can mean. Ultimately, they are only wrestlers and it is very rare to see them move higher up in the celebrity world. It does happen every now and then, and this time one of them is getting quite the honor for the second time.

The Calgary Hitmen hockey team has announced the second annual Bret “Hitman” Hart game, which will take place in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Centre of Calgary on March 5, 2022. There will also be a Prairie Wrestling Alliance wrestling event after the game. The game will see the Hitmen wear special Hart themed jerseys, which will then be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Prostate Cancer Centre.

Hart has done some great things in the ring. Check out some of his better moments:

Opinion: This is a cool idea as Hart can help lend some of his celebrity status to charity. Hopefully the Cancer Centre can benefit from the event, which should be quite the afternoon. It makes sense to tie wrestling and hockey together for this idea and it seems like something that could work rather well. If nothing else, it is cool to see Hart is still a big enough name to be the focal point of such a worthy cause.
