Three trade targets that could help salvage the season for the Los Angeles Lakers.

To say that the Los Angeles Lakers have gotten off to a rough start to the season would be a massive understatement.

Through the first 21 games of the season, roughly one-fourth of the 2021-22 campaign, the Lakers are under .500 and hanging on to one of the final playoff seeds in the Western Conference.

You can throw an argument that the Lakers haven’t been healthy, especially considering that LeBron James has missed more than half the games of the season this far, but even in the handful of games that the team has been relatively healthy they haven’t looked good anyway.

The team’s two best wins of the season came against the Charlotte Hornets and Miami Heat. Each of those teams was facing difficult back-to-back games when the Lakers beat them. Even then, both of those wins for the Lakers came in overtime. Take that for what it is.

The Lakers are currently a bad team, or at best an irrelevant one, and need something to jumpstart this team up the West standings. Assuming that the front office is going to do everything in their power to improve his roster at some point this season, we explore three players that could potentially help salvage the season for the Lakers.
