While not rich in talent, the Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad is hopeful to make up for the lack of basketball talent with hard work. Coach John Suntken tells KNIA Sports he would take a team full of talent…but sometimes the hard working teams surprise.

Suntken: “Talent isn’t everything, sometimes talent comes back and is isn’t not what you think it is, and sometimes the hard working teams come back to shine and get done what needs to get done.”

The Saints return just one experienced player from last season and that is Owen Suntken. Melcher-Dallas travels to Pleasantville for a double header with the girls on Tuesday, a game that can be heard live on kniakrls.com KRLS3.
