The Hershey Bears, the Capitals' AHL affiliate, announced the postponement of two upcoming games on Saturday night due to COVID-19 protocols.

The Bears are moving their games against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms originally scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 28 and Wednesday, Dec. 1.

"This decision was made in consultation with medical experts and the AHL and due to the health and safety of players, coaches, and game day personnel," the team's statement read.

Hershey is coming off a difficult 7-3 loss to the Rochester Americans on Friday night after having won in overtime on Wednesday night against the Bruins.

While the youth movement from former Bears standouts like Martin Fehevary and Connor McMichael has finally begun to take shape this season for the injury-riddled Caps, there are still plenty of prospects to keep track of in Hershey. Promising wingers Axel Jonsson-Fjallby and Garrett Pilon plus defenseman Alex Alexeyev have all played important roles for the 8-6-2-1 Bears this season.
