Devastation for Buckeye Nation after Ohio State falls to that team up north -- something fans haven’t seen in a decade.
“I don’t remember when I was seven-years-old the last time we lost to them, I've never felt this loss,” said OSU senior Matthew Stritar.
Before Saturday’s loss, Ohio State had won the last eight straight games against Michigan, setting a school record.
“It was ten years in the running and at some point, a legacy has to lose, but it breaks my heart,” said KC Collinsworth from Columbus.
Fans, however, said they’re putting the loss behind them and looking forward to next year’s big rivalry game.
“If you give up five touchdowns you don’t deserve to win, but for Buckeye Nation out there I’ll say this — we get at least five more years of Harbaugh and you know what we’re bringing back everybody so we’ll see you next year,” said Jake Wilson from Columbus.
As for the Wolverines fans in Columbus, they said it’s been long enough.
“It’s been a long time coming, we deserve this,” said Zero James from Detroit.
Some said this only adds fuel to the fire for one of the biggest sports rivalries.
“It’s a rivalry again, that’s what we needed. It was 0 and 6 before today, and he changed the narrative, Jim Harbaugh changed the narrative today,” said Ryun Braxton from Columbus.
