Incident at Mall at Robinson sends shoppers running in panic
ROBINSON TELLS ME THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED VERY QUICKLY AND THINGS GOT BACK TO NORMAL VERY QUICKLY, BUT FOR ONE WITNESS, SHE TOLD ME IT WAS SURREAL AND LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF A MOVIE PEOEPL WERE SHOVING SCREAMING CRYING. THAT’S HOW GLORIA BETTERS DESCRIBED WHAHAT PPENED INSIDE THE MALL AT ROBINSON SHORTLY BEFORE SEVEN SATURDAY EVENING THE SCENE OUTSIDE THE MALL WHEN WE ARRIVED NORMAL, BUT BETTER SAID EARLIER IWAT ANYTHING BUT BETTERS WAS EATING AT THE FDOO COURT WITHER H HUSBAND AND TWO TEENAGE CHILDREN WHEN THINGS BECAME CHAOTIC ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE WAS SCREAMING THERE WAS A LOUD BANGING NOISE. WE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS AND PEOPLE STARTED PANICKING AND RUNNING FOR THE ENTRANCE AND YELLING FOR EVERYBODY ELSE TO JUST RUN BETTER SAID HER FAMILY TOOK OFF RUNNING TOWARDSHE T DOOR THAT SOUND OTHERS THOUGHT WAS A GUN. IT WAS SURREAL LIVING WE THE WORSE. WE AUME SSTHAT SOMEBODY A GUN BECAUSE I MEAN THERE WAS A BANG A SPOKESPERSON FOR THE MALL SAID THERE WAS AN ALTERCATION BETWEEN TWO SETS OF PEOPLE INHE T FOOD COURT AND DURING THAT SCUFF ALE METAL SIGN FLEL OVER CAUSING A LOUD NOISEND A PANIC SENDING PEOPLE RUNNING, BUT THEY SAID THERE WERE NO SHOTS. NO GUNFIRE AND FORTUNATELY NO INJURIES AND THE INCIDENT W QUICKLY BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL BETTERS TOLD ME THE INCIDENT SHOOK HERP, U AND SHE'’ GRATEFUL TO BE HOME SAFE WITH HER FAMILY. IT WAS LIKE A MOV.IE IT’S LIKE THE STUFF YOU. YOU SEE IN A MOVIE OR A TV SHOW AND IT'’ THE SAD REALITY OF OUR COUNTRY RIGHT NOW. BECAUSE I MEAN EVERYBODY HAS GUNS YOU JUST ASSUME IT’S A GUN. An incident at the food court at the Mall at Robinson on Saturday night caused panic among guests."People were shoving, screaming, crying," said Gloria Betters.Gloria Betters said she was eating at the food court just before 7 p.m. with her husband and two teenage children when things became chaotic."All of a sudden there was screaming, there was loud banging noise," she said. "We didn't know what it was and people started panicking and running towards the entrance and yelling for everyone else to run."Betters said her family took off running towards the door. She said other people thought that sound was gunfire."It was surreal," she said. "We assumed the worst. We assumed that somebody had a gun because there was a bang."A spokesperson for the Mall at Robinson said there was an altercation between two sets of people in the food court and during that scuffle a metal sign fell over causing a loud noise, and panic that sent people running. They said there were no shots, no gunfire and fortunately no injures, and the incident was quickly brought under control.Betters said the incident shook her up, but she's grateful to be home safe with her family"It was like a movie," she said. "It was like the stuff you see in a movie or a tv show. It's the sad reality of our country right now because everybody has guns and you just assume it's a gun."Robinson Township police are investigating the incident, and haven't released any details at this time.

"It was like a movie," she said. "It was like the stuff you see in a movie or a tv show. It's the sad reality of our country right now because everybody has guns and you just assume it's a gun."

Robinson Township police are investigating the incident, and haven't released any details at this time.
