Todd McShay: 'Ohio State is Simply Better' Than Cincinnati

The Bearcats finished the regular season 12-0 while the Buckeyes finished 10-2.

CINCINNATI — No. 2 Ohio State lost 42-27 on the road against No. 5 Michigan on Saturday, but ESPN's Todd McShay still thinks the Buckeyes should be in over No. 4 Cincinnati.

Ohio State fell to 10-2 on the season after the defeat and faced a rushing yardage disparity of 297-64. The Wolverines controlled the game with stellar defensive line play. Big Blue asserted their will at the Big House and added another intriguing chaos bomb to the College Football Playoff discussion.

Despite all the chatter, Luke Fickell's team should be in if they beat No. 24 Houston next weekend at home in the American Athletic Conference Championship game. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. ET on ABC.
