Kanye West posted a photo of himself kissing his ex Kim Kardashian on his Instagram Story Friday morning, tagging gossip site TMZ and sharing a screenshot of their story on the matter. This is just one of several public declarations Kanye has made this week about his marriage and desire to reconcile with Kim. The image was originally posted to her Story in September 2019, when their family was vacationing in the Bahamas. She deleted it quickly for unknown reasons.
The TMZ story he shared over the photo was titled, “Kanye West Says God Will Bring Kim and Him Back Together, Inspire Millions.”
On Thursday, Kanye posted what he called his Thanksgiving prayer, a five-minute monologue soundtracked by his Sunday Service Choir. In it, he admits to alcohol abuse, being inconsistent with his medication, and having issues with his temper. He also referenced his alliance with Donald Trump and attempt to run for president and the embarrassment that caused Kim.
“Let’s go with politics here,” he said. “Good lord, my wife did not like me wearing the red hat. Being a good wife, she just wanted to protect me and our family. I made me and our family a target by not aligning with Hollywood’s political stance and that was hard for our marriage.”
He continued, “Then I ran for president without proper preparation and no allies on either side. I embarrassed my wife in the way that I presented information about our family during the one and—thank god—only press conference. All my dad had to say afterward was, ‘Write your speech next time, son.’”
And on Wednesday, Kanye gave a speech at the L.A. Mission on Skid Row and claimed he would repair things with Kim.
“All I think about every day is how I get my family back together and how I heal the pain that I’ve caused,” he said.
Kim is currently dating comedian Pete Davidson and there are photos of them holding hands and wearing what might possibly be hickeys. More photos of them together on social media and in paparazzi photos have shown their relationship progressing, and a source told Page Six that they’re “still getting to know each other and want as little pressure as possible.”
