Welcome to Jordan-Hare Stadium for the 86th Iron Bowl, where No. 3 Alabama (10-1, 6-1) seeks to defeat Auburn (6-5, 3-4) on its way to next week’s SEC championship game against No. 1 Georgia.

The Tigers can’t stop the Crimson Tide from going to Atlanta. Bryan Harsin’s squad can hamper Alabama’s chances at making the College Football Playoff. Alabama is on a five-game winning streak since losing on October 9th against Texas A&M.

Auburn is a 19.5 underdog looking for redemption after a three-game losing streak. Auburn dropped games against Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and last week at South Carolina.

Alabama leads the series 47-37-1. Auburn is 10-5 in Iron Bowl’s played at Jordan-Hare.

4th OT: Alabama 24, Auburn 22

Alabama scored on another John Metchie two-point conversion throw from Bryce Young. Crimson Tide survives first Iron Bowl that went to overtime.

3rd OT: Alabama 22, Auburn 22

Finley matches Alabama’s 2-point try and ties it up on a throw to John Samuel Shenker.

Young finds John Metchie III for a two-point conversion to put Bama up 22-20.

2nd Overtime: Auburn 20, Alabama 20

Alabama counters with a field goal of its own to push it to a third overtime. Will Reichard hit a 37-yard field goal to tie the game.

To start the second overtime, Auburn scores on a 51-yard field goal to go up 20-17.

Touchdown, Auburn. Landen King scores from six yards out to tie the game.

Tank Bigsby ran two times from inside the 5-yard line but can’t punch it in.

Auburn facing 3rd-and-3 from Bama’s 18-yard line, Finley finds Kobe Hudson for a big gain. Auburn is on Alabama’s 4-yard line.

Slade Bolden puts Alabama up in overtime with a 6-yard touchdown catch. Auburn will get the ball on Alabama’s 25-yard line needing a touchdown to keep the game going.

Alabama caps a 97-yard drive with a beautiful Bryce Young to Ja’Corey Brooks for a 28-yard touchdown to tie the game with 24 seconds left.

Finley threw an interception to Josh Jones at the 42 with 11:50 left. Auburn got the ball on a turnover on downs at the 45 a play earlier. Alabama is down by 10 but the interception provides some hope.

Alabama gets on the board with a 30-yard field goal. Derick Hall sacked Young on 3rd-and-goal from the seven to create the field goal try.

3rd Quarter

Bryce Young gets dropped at the five-yard line on 3rd-and-16 from the Bama nine at the 13:34 mark in the third quarter.

Auburn starts its first possession of the half at the 39-yard line following an 18-yard punt return by Ja’Varrius Johnson with 13:13 left in the third.

Ben Patton connected on a 33-yard kick with 11:43 left in the half. Auburn has led by at least ten points in it’s last three games.

Bydarrius Knighten picked off Young at the Bama 45 with 10:28 left in the third quarter. Bama has 63 yards with -12 rushing after two drives in the third quarter.

Bama had a bad snap on what would’ve been a 29-yard attempt from the Bama 19 with 2:18 left in the quarter.

2nd Quarter

Auburn’s first drive of the second quarter ended at the Tiger 31-yard line at the 12:18 mark. Alabama takes over at their 30-yard line after an Oscar Chapman 46-yard punt.

As the old boy, legendary wrestling announcer Jim Ross would say: “Business is picking up here at Jordan-Hare.” Derick Hall knocked Bryce Young into the Auburn sideline at the 36-yard-line at the 10:28 mark in the second quarter on a 3rd-and-12 from the Alabama 38-yard line. Several Tiger players surrounded Young AS he laid on the Auburn sideline. Young got up with the assistance of several of his Bama teammates coming toward the Tiger sideline to help their quarterback.

Auburn gets the ball at the 26 following a Burnip punt with 10:24 remaining in the half.

Jameson Williams gets ejected for targeting on a punt with 9:02 left in the second quarter. Williams flew down the field as a gunner and made the tackle on Ja’Varrius Johnson. Williams had one of the few big plays in the contest so far with a 34-yard catch on a 3rd-and-18 in the first quarter.

Kobe Hudson scores the first touchdown of the game on a slant play for 15 yards at the 6:50 mark in the second. It’s the third week in a row the Tigers scored first in a game. Demetris Johnson made an acrobatic catch at Bama 15 on 3rd-and-15 from the Bama 44 on the previous play.

Derick Hall gets his second sack of the game at the 4:00 mark. Hall dropped Young at the 11. Alabama has three first downs and are 1-7 on third down. Auburn gets the ball at Bama’s 45 with 3:18 left.

1st Quarter

Auburn 0 Alabama 0 at the first quarter.

Alabama wins the toss and elects to kick. Auburn will receive with their backs to the south end zone. The Tigers are wearing their traditional home uniforms: White helmet, blue jersey with white trim, white pants, with orange and blue stripes. Bama is dressed in their crimson helmets, white jersey, and pants with crimson trim.

Auburn starts their first possession with the ball at the 13-yard-line. Auburn goes three and out on their first possession. TJ Finley got sacked by Will Anderson and lost 11 yards on third down.

Alabama went three and out on its first time with the ball. The drive started at the Alabama 48 yard line.

A 46-yard punt by James Burnip buries Auburn deep in its own territory. The Tigers start their second possession at the two-yard line with 12:13 left in the first quarter.

Bama had Tank Bigsby stopped for what would’ve been another 3-and-out, but a facemask penalty extends the drive. Finley completed his first pass of the day for five yards to Demetris Robertson for five yards on the ensuing play.

Auburn receiver Shedrick Jackson withstood a lot of contact to make an eight-yard catch for a first down at the 7:35 mark. Finley made a nice pass on the 3rd-and-8 from the Tiger 38.

Alabama’s second possession stalls out its own 49-yard-line with 3:35 left in the first quarter. Bryce Young had a 34-yard completion on 3rd-and-18 at the Bama seven to extend the drive. Bama had a fourth-and-one at the 49, but elected to punt. Auburn takes over with the ball at the 12.

Alabama starts its third possession at the 30-yard with less than a minute left in the 1st quarter. Auburn’s third possession ended with a Finley four-yard run on 3rd-and-nine from the Tiger 35.

Pregame

Auburn receiver Kobe Hudson is back in the lineup after missing the South Carolina game. Hudson had a career-high eight receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown in the Mississippi State loss.

Kilian Zierer gets the start at right tackle for Auburn. Tashawn Manning will start at right guard.

DJ Dale is uniform for Alabama. The Nose tackle got hurt during pregame warmups against Arkansas and missed the game.
