NOAH HANIFIN ON FACING THE JETS:

BLAKE COLEMAN ON SCORING THE FIRST GOAL:

"I don't know if it was anything in particular. Obviously, well-prepared as far as structure and what we need to do against certain teams, but I think guys do a good job on this team of getting ready before games, the preparation, getting your body ready to play and not using the warmup and the first few minutes to get into the game. Guys are ready to go from the drop.
"We've just been a good team. More importantly, we've been strong defensively, and typically when you're strong defensively, it gives you a chance to score first. It's been a good trend for our team and hopefully we can keep that going. It's one of those things where you have to learn how to win with a lead and you've got to learn how to win from behind as well, but you always want to be playing with the lead, if you can."

"It was good to get a little breather"

DARRYL SUTTER ON HAVING THREE DAYS OFF:

"It allowed some of our banged-up guys to get closer to 100% again.
"We were playing every other day with a lot of back-to-backs for the first five weeks of the year. You start that whole part of the schedule without a full contingent of guys. We got through that. Now, it sort of changes. So, we play tonight - but you're really only playing two games in eight days when you look at it. The onus is on the players now in terms of their preparation and being game ready."

"You always try to score first"

ON STRONG FIRST QUARTER:

"We had to change the whole approach to the game. It's not something you talk about and then it happens. It's not something that happens in five games or 20 games. It happens over 82 games."
