Erling Haaland scored his 50th Bundesliga goal as Borussia Dortmund came from behind to beat VfL Wolfsburg 3-1 on Saturday. The goal helped the Norwegian international break two Bundesliga records. Here are the records and facts from Borussia Dortmund’s 3-1 win over VfL Wolfsburg.

  • Fastest player to reach 50 Bundesliga goals: Erling Haaland made his return from injury on Saturday, and he marked his comeback with a goal in the 81st minute. The Norwegian striker has now scored 50 Bundesliga goals in just 50 appearances. No player in the history of the competition has reached the 50 goal mark in fewer appearances.
  • Youngest player to reach 50 Bundesliga goals: Haaland also became the youngest player to reach the 50 goal mark in the Bundesliga, as he achieved the feat at the age of just 21 years and 129 days. He beat the record held by former Schalke 04 striker Klaus Fischer.
  • Three hundred Bundesliga appearances in Black and Yellow: Another player who had a memorable afternoon on Saturday is Mats Hummels. The experienced defender made his 300th appearance in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund. He became just the sixth BVB player to reach the mark, after Michael Zorc, Roman Weidenfeller, Dede, Stefan Reuter and Lars Ricken.
