Artemi Panarin fined $5K for throwing glove at Brad Marchand

New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin was fined $5,000 by the NHL on Saturday morning for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Panarin was fined the maximum allowable under the league’s collective bargaining agreement for throwing his glove at Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand following a verbal exchange at the bench during Friday’s game.

After the game, Marchand elected to have a little fun about the subject of their conversation.

“We were just asking each other how Thanksgiving dinner was and he didn’t like what I ate,” Marchand said after the Bruins’ 5-2 loss to the Rangers.
